The
Kennewick Senior Center is open to anyone fifty years "and
better". The Center offers a wide variety of programs
including social, health, recreational, fitness, travel, and education.
You can experience life long learning and wellness, through safe,
quality programs and services.
Volunteerism
is an essential element in all of the programs, activities, classes,
and services offered at the Kennewick Senior Center. Volunteer
opportunities are available in many areas. Some of the areas
in which we need volunteers are:
*V.I.P.S City of Kennewick Volunteers in Parks courtesy cart and information
booth attendants. (See below.)
Volunteering
provides opportunities for self-development, self-fulfillment, creativity
expression, and personal growth for both provider and recipient.
V.I.P.S (Volunteers in Parks) are housed at the Information Booth near the Playground of Dreams in Columbia Park and will provide Columbia Park users with information and assistance on park amenities. V.I.P.'s will also operate the golf cart program traveling the park providing users with information, water, and general assistance. For more information on the 2008 season, call (509)585-4279.
